CGiii Comment
Literally, if you blink you'll miss the pivotal shot...a bold decision by Ole Giæver.
But...when you take into consideration that Ole Giæver not only the director...he's also the writer and star...then, the extrapolators will - no doubt - extrapolate until they tie themselves in knots.
Extrapolate not...dear extrapolators...unfurl those knots you find yourselves in...and, accept, that nothing is ever set in stone. Not your happiness, your contentment, your raison d'être, your sexuality...
Enjoy the scenery...as your inner voices battle and banter with your outer demons.
This is Ole Giæver's journey...he opened his door and - basically - tells us...we can all do the same. Be truthful to thine own.
A succulent piece of film-making...as juicy and refreshing as a chilled peach.
Oh, that pivotal shot...do not blink when he decides to have a little pleasure in the mountains!

The(ir) Blurb...
Depiction of middle-age and first-world anxieties. Martin is clearly out of place both in his office, and at home with his wife and son. As he embarks on a trek searching for solace in the stunning Norwegian wilderness, he can't seem to find peace: his incessant stream of thoughts are endlessly commenting and fantasising about disturbing what ifs: what if he got a divorce? What if his wife died? What if he were a cripple? As the day stretches on, Martin prepares for a drastic change of pace amidst the wildlife in what is both a considered and consistently humorous portrayal of how easy it is to feel alienated in a very stable life.
