Drawing on her own experiences to reclaim her transgender identity, Singaporean director Quen Wong’s directorial debut disrupts the silence around trans discrimination.

Counting down to her wedding day, Quen explores the journey to her current trans woman identity. In looking back through her past, she shares intimate moments, with her fiancé, which were key to her transition. Her journey also features glimpses of Bugis Street, the trans community’s haven, in its glory days. These are contrasted with present-day Singapore, where the trans community has become marginalised. Quen eloquently chronicles the untold stories of trans women from three different generations, posing critical questions about the survival of the present LGBTQI+ community under a conservative government.
