CGiii Comment

Sam’s relationship with Ha-eun, her closest school friend, is something like a dream. She wants to be with her all the time – strolling around the city and rescuing lost dogs. They could spend all day doing nothing, so long as they are together. Occasionally, their relationship becomes tense, as the insecure Sam, desperate not to lose Ha-eun, reveals a possessive streak. Unfolding over the course of a single day that veers between eventful and mundane, CHO Hyun-chul’s film juxtaposes the characters’ intense adolescent emotions with stunning golden shots of Seoul that transport us into an enchanting dreamscape. This is cinema at its most elusive and intoxicating.
