Dead people come back from the afterlife in a small town in provincial France: a slow and silent procession that goes from cemetery to the town. But, no matter how apocalyptic it sounds, the situation is not gruesome or violent: those who return seem lost, as if they are victims of trauma. The mayor of the town decides to reintroduce them to society by giving them menial jobs, the only ones they can do because they are so disoriented. In addition, the returned can reunite with their loved ones. Like Martha, the mayor's dead wife, and young Mathieu, who comes back to Rachel, from whom he was separated by a car accident. But living together will soon become problematic...

Robin Campillo makes his debut in directing with an unusual zombie movie, melancholy and delicate, from which a TV series was made in France. It was presented at Venice in the Horizons section in 2004.
