CGiii Comment

When the dribbling excesses of the 60s hit the big screen - this is what you get - a catastrophic piece of ego-driven trash.

Zappa, and it may be attributed to drugs, has no discernible talent for writing dialogue or direction.

He may have written the odd good song - the stress being on the odd.

The dippy-hippy trend has traveled less far than all the other trends...all that tie-die dying out...bless.

And..the music is crap.

And...Ringo Starr - a talentless drummer and a talentless actor.

When watching this now...do old hippies feel as if they may have been conned?

The(ir) Blurb...

"Touring makes you crazy", Frank Zappa says, explaining that the idea for this movie came to him while the Mothers of Invention were touring. The story, interspersed with performances by the Mothers and the Royal Symphony Orchestra, is a tale of life on the road. The band members' main concerns are the search for groupies and the desire to get paid.
