Watch Les Invisibles - then compare...

Three elderly gay men: Dennis, Robert and Ty - three very different personalities.

And...let's be truthful...none of them really have a story to tell. Or, the director managed to ignore their stories...opting instead for this...a [mostly] doleful account of their everyday lives.

Robert (the mouth) owns a struggling gay bar in Texas...run by his less-than-competent nephew. With ailing health...the drag queens look as if they might be barless!

Ty (in Halem) desperately wants to get married to his partner - who wants none of it. Somewhere in there, Ty has a story to tell...unfortunately, he doesn't get to tell it.

And then there's Dennis (from Niceville)...now, some would say...this is a sad story...others would recommend a good kick up the arse and/or a personality transplant. Even when he becomes Dee...nothing. He's a dreary old man in or out of a wig...and, going on that gay cruise - alone - was a pitiful mistake and torture to watch.

It's a competent film...in the technical department.

Unfortunately, it goes nowhere, endlessly...traveling in circles with too much [uninteresting] repetition...where was the much-needed editor?

Better subjects would not necessarily have made a better film...that is, if Raval was still at the helm...obviously a man who can't see the wood for the trees. There were stories to be told...they just didn't get told. Bizarre!

Watch Les Invisibles - then compare...
