Portrait of Cyril Collard, French film director who died of AIDS in 1993 at the age of 35. He is famous for his movie "Savage Nights", which was seen by several million viewers and won Cesar awards just a few days after his death.


C’est l’histoire d’un choc en deux temps. 1992, Les Nuits fauves sort sur les écrans. 1993, Cyril Collard meurt du sida. L’artiste et son film créent le scandale dans cette France des années 1990 qui mesure soudain la violence de l’épidémie et le bouleversement qu’elle annonce pour ses enfants… À travers ce qu’il dit de la rage de vivre et de la liberté sexuelle, du courage qu’il faut pour faire face à la fatalité du virus, l’œuvre de Collardrésonne encore aujourd’hui.
