CGiii Comment

Just like all telenovelas...a contrived, angry...and, a melodramatic mess.

The homophobia [and racism] - from all the women, especially - is horrific. But...the general cruelty and self-loathing are utterly incomprehensible.

There's even a weird sea-monster...just to make it even more stupid than it already is! Do not despair, that monster - for some unknown reason - is promptly forgotten about...that's what we call an abandoned metaphor!

As for the out-of-shape German gay men depiction...simply, offensive.

All-in-all, it's a patchy and rather erratic sequence of scenes that do not make a cohesive story. The director has much to learn.

It really is a film that is...all over the place!

The cinematographer has a career!

The editor doesn't.

In a humble coastal tropical compound, amidst a total eclipse of the sun, an unexpected guest arouses the broken dreams of a family that has lost its guardian figure, overshadowed by the cosmic loneliness where they were left to their faith.
