CGiii Comment

A slight story to begin with...and one that has displeased many an unloved, cold-bloodied critic! Well...not this one. For this is a film about love...from fratenizing with the enemy to dalliances with those of a less equal station...this is love of the forbidden kind!!!

And...in a small, almost comatose, little town, 'forbidden' is just the feast that the gossip-hungry devour with unbridled passion. So...sit back and enjoy as this not-so-slight story unfurls...against a backdrop of gentility and shame.

It's quintessentially all pie, books and charm...served with great big glutinous dollops of eccentricity.

Tearfully delicious!
