CGiii Comment

Monica Bellucci steals the show...

Somewhat reminiscent of a bit of Almodovar and a little Lynch...

Édoin has borrowed heavily from his peers...whilst playing it down...to the point of tedium. There may have been some camp intentions...however, they never made it to the screen...unfortunately.

Dour...that's what this film is...it so needed an injection of levity. Watching a thoroughly miserable young gay man battling with his demons...without respite...takes its toll.

It is a bit like knitting a Christmas sweater...it plods on, new ideas and characters are introduced...and the result is not entirely satisfactory...Christmas sweaters never are.

With such obvious influences...from directors who rarely do mundane...Édoin does...to the detriment of the film.

We know it's a mad metaphor...but, whose Christmas sweater would you like to see?
