CGiii Comment

Three unrelated stories are mixed up and [each] culminate in a recognisable mass shooting. These shootings are the last 10 minutes of the film...rather than focusing on the aftermath, the fallout, the after-shock of such trauma...Anthony Meindl, instead, presents the run-up.

So...there's the gay story...an embarrassing day-time, soap-ish, soft-porn piece of guff that leads to the Pulse shooting. The lesbian story, in french, with a bit of male toxicity thrown in...obviously, Bataclan. Finally, a heterosexual tale of domestic abuse that ends with any one of the school mass shootings that have occurred over the years.

Filmmakers who have neither the skill, budget nor intelligence to broach such a hefty subject as terrorism...should, without exception, leave it alone...especially when such horrors are in the recent past. The insensitivity is astounding. The disrespect is astonishing.

The(ir) Blurb...

This anthology film explores three sudden acts of violence and examines the impact on the innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire: In Binghamton, New York, an ESL instructor faces domestic violence at home and even greater peril at school. Friends take a night out in Paris only to find themselves caught up in a horrifying situation. And two lovers at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando fight to survive a chaotic night of terror.
