Lesbians in the Franco's Spain - you just know it's not going to be a happy story.

Institutionalisation and electroshock therapy - and it's not subtle.

It's a TV movie with cheap production values - a sledgehammer on the kneecap sort of approach.

But...it certainly drives home the message.

And, for those with a softer heart - you'll be blubbing by the end.

Not bad at all.

2 teachers fall in love at a time when it is a crime to be homosexual. One teacher's mother has her committed to a psychiatric hospital. When the lovers reunite, they must deal with the after effects of years of electroshock therapy.
