"Coup de Grace" is about an aspiring opera singer who's trapped in a loveless relationship. She soon finds herself caught in a web of intrigue when she encounters a femme fatale who unveils her suppressed tendencies. The singer’s Faustian wish of getting into a prestigious conservatory is soon realized, but it comes at a severe cost. She loses her mind. "Death Defying Acts" is a dark narrative exploring four struggling relationships which ultimately become devoured by infidelity, regret and death based on stories by Guy de Maupassant.
