CGiii Comment

Haru (Mugi Kadowaki) and Leo (Nana Komatsu) are longtime friends and bandmates in an acoustic folk duo called Haruleo. Haru uses music to express herself through her usual introverted demeanor, while Leo is more combustive and impulsive, which Haru finds both inspiring and alluring.

After years together, they embark on what is set to be their final tour with their handsome manager Shima (Ryo Narita). As the three venture out and emotions grow entangled between the trio, Haru and Leo seem to only come alive and express their true intentions through song.
A musical journey through their past reveals Haruleo’s rich story of passion, music, and unrequited love. Part road movie, part coming-of-age romance, FAREWELL SONG is the latest raw tale of young love from acclaimed writer-director Akihiko Shiota (DON’T LOOK BACK, MOONLIGHT WHISPERS, HARMFUL INSECT).
