Friends of Sophia is a character-driven short which interjects high drama into a near-future setting in which queerness is the default. Robosexuality, however, is yet be widely tolerated. The short inverses sci-fi genre and queer coming-out story conventions to create a fresh take on both and exploring complex issues of sexuality.
