CGiii Comment

A delightful comedy made in 1934 in the U.K. and starring the Hamburger actress, Dolly Hass, who had left Germany in 1933. Patricia Caverly sends a letter to her grandfather, the Duke of Bridgewater, signing it “Pat”. His Grace, thinking he has a grandson and true heir, is thrilled to bits and sends his secretary to meet Pat. Confronted with her grandfather’s expectations, Patricia’s acting talents are called for: she cuts her hair, puts on a suit and goes off to claim her inheritance.
