Lea is a 30 year old self proclaimed shemale, living in the Hamra district of Beirut. In Lebanon, transsexuality is prohibited by law. Working as an escort girl and locked in her apartment at the Hotel Stars, she refuses to be a victim and finds a way to an existence that resembles a 'normal' life as much as possible. This intimate documentary shows domestic scenes of love, friendship, and sex work in contemporary Beirut. Exposing the joys and hardships of living as an outcast out of the public eye, and the reality of the person behind the fantasy.
