And...where exactly is the comedy?!?
Breillat's sense-of-humour is extinct.
Supposedly, this is meant to be an insightful look behind the cameras - the pitfalls of being a director filming a sex scene (with, perhaps, a gay actor)...ooops, it's not insightful.
What it does reveal is the pretension, the indulgence and the self-importance that many directors - including this one - so pompously possess.
Sex has never been so dull.

The(ir) Blurb...
Jeanne is a director struggling with a difficult sex scene between two actors who can't stand each other. Aided by her loyal assistant Leo, Jeanne is hell-bent on getting the scene right without compromise. Inspired by Breillat's own experiences (particularly those in "Fat Girl"), "Sex is Comedy" explores the comedy of social manipulations, sex and power that takes place within the confines of a film set.
