Silkwood

Country: USA, Language: English, 131 mins

  • Director: Mike Nichols

  • Producer: Larry Cano; Michael Hausman

CGiii Comment

5 Oscar nominations and no wins - quite, quite ridiculous.

The acting is faultless - Streep (as usual)...but, it's Cher who shines.

It's all in the detail, in the unspoken - Nichols at his utter best.

A terrifying film.
