CGiii Comment

Definitely dated ($45 per week and cravats)...

A significant glimpse of pre-AIDS issues...it is a difficult piece to watch - typical bitchy queens taking it all too far.

It is witty, catty and memorable - and, for its time, quite remarkable.

Friedkin is a director of note - The Exorcist, Cruising and an Oscar for The French Connection.

Sadly, most of the actors have died, many succumbed to AIDS.

In truth, it is a timeless piece, it far outshines its progenies, The Broken Hearts Club et al.

May those that took part be remembered...

The(ir) Blurb...

It's Harold's birthday, and his closest friends throw him a party at Michael's apartment. Among Harold's presents is "Cowboy", since Harold may have trouble finding a cute young man on his own now that he's getting older. As the party progresses the self-deprecating humor of the group takes a nasty turn as the men become drunker. Climaxed by a cruel telephone "game" where each man must call someone and tell him (or her?) of his love for them.
