Hollywood certainly knows how to capitalise on paranoia.

With a gay director at the helm, the paranoia is thoroughly and effectively exploited...this is just stark storytelling - with no distractions, no soundtrack to beef up the tension.

Lemmon gives, perhaps, his best performance.

One of the best thrillers of the 70s.

While doing a series of reports on alternative energy sources, an opportunistic reporter Kimberly Wells witnesses an accident at a nuclear power plant.
