Kremlin Letter (The)

Country: United States, Language: English, 120 mins

  • Director: John Huston
  • Writer: Noel Behn; Gladys Hill
  • Producer: Carter DeHaven; Sam Wiesenthal

CGiii Comment

With a completely bizarre use of language: a couple of sentences in Russian and then into American English, Huston makes a complete mess of a mess.

By throwing in all the elements of controversy: the odd lesbian, drag queens, a gay man here and there, drugs, a male prostitute et al. He manages to achieve no tension in a tangle of stilted acting.

Richard Boone's performance is, frankly, embarrassing.

Nothing but immemorable.
