Ripper (The)

Maven Pictures will be producing a movie about Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow.

“The Ripper” delves into the relationship between the late designer and the former British editor and stylist at the Sunday Times, Vogue and Tatler who was a patron of McQueen’s from his days at Central Saint Martins. Blow, whose love for eccentric hats made her a paparazzi favorite, was a muse to many other designers as well up until her suicide in 2007 after a long battle with depression. McQueen, who came from a working-class family, himself committed suicide in 2010.

While casting and movie production details are still in the works, Variety reports that Gesha-Marie Bland has written the script for the film while senior vice president Hardy Justice sourced the screenplay.
