THIRD is about the stories of transgender people residing in Assam, a northeastern state of India. The documentary focuses on the alienation of transgender people in the Assamese society which is mostly conservative in nature, due to which most transgender people are compelled to leave their homes at a very early age. On the other hand, most of them, especially those belonging to the lower-income group, are deprived of availing of higher education due to prejudices prevailing in society and opt to beg to manage their bread and butter. At the same time, a section of transgender also indulges in clashes with others. The documentary portrays all the aspects including its causes. The documentary also highlighted the struggle of a transgender, from a remote village of Assam, against all the adversities.
