CGiii Comment

And, a beautiful film - if not altogether accurate - t'is Hollywood afterall.

Seemingly, Nash's sexuality was not mentioned because the filmmakers did not want to connect homosexuality with schizophrenia (how very thoughtful of them) - now, if this is indeed true, it is certainly one of the most pathetic excuses ever given.

Homosexuality and big audiences, not exactly the recipe for success - the omission was a business decision. Plain and simple.

The thrust of the credit must go to Goldsman's adaptation, quite rightly winning the Oscar.

It is a fine film - despite the discrepancies.

The(ir) Blurb...

From the heights of notoriety to the depths of depravity, John Forbes Nash, Jr. experienced it all. A mathematical genius, he made an astonishing discovery early in his career and stood on the brink of international acclaim. But the handsome and arrogant Nash soon found himself on a painful and harrowing journey of self-discovery. After many years of struggle, he eventually triumphed over his tragedy, and finally - late in life - received the Nobel Prize.
