CGiii Comment

Well, it's not quite Betty Blue - and, that's the problem, this film doesn't really have an identity.

Argento fails to capture the allure needed for this role - and, the leading man is a slippers and cardigan type with a face that wouldn't look out of place on a dartboard - a definite miscasting.

Throw in Everett, playing a smack-head bisexual, and a young Meyers over-acting as if his life depended on it - the result is a cacophonous mess.

A film that misfires and leaves you rather empty.

The(ir) Blurb...

Alan Furnace is a young man with the perfectly proper, quiet life of a London school teacher. But beneath all of that decency lies a burning desire for excitement and he just found it. She's a woman unlike any other: Unruly Irish eyes, Latin lips... her name is Beatrice, but on the streets they call her B. Monkey. She's about to take him on an outrageous, dangerous and sexy ride through the wild side of London.
