CGiii Comment

Beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted...unfortunately, accompanied by a migraine-inducing soundtrack.

A young man journeys through a series of encounters - mostly with oddballs - and, obviously, there has to be the homosexual...whether you need one or not!

This auteur seems to be clutching at straws throughout...finally, grasping at one in order to make his point - with as much subtlety as a fish smacked in the face...this is a devoutly, anti-Christian film that stinks of the hypocritical homophobia that all religions preach.

It won't be to everyone's taste...but, it certainly takes its time to make its point...and, when it does...it takes no prisoners...appropriately damning!

The(ir) Blurb...

Leaving the ivy-covered walls of Yale behind, the privileged and intellectual Samuel sets out to discover the real world armed with books and a strong conviction of atheism. He goes to work at an apple orchard under an alias, but is thrust into a world he is wholly unprepared for with religious locals and untrustworthy co-workers. His sexuality and lack of faith will be tested as he learns to rely on strangers in a world that can't be taught in books and a classroom.
