CGiii Comment

It is - quite simply - one of the best sitcoms ever written.

One minute you're laughing...the next, sobbing your heart out.

This is what comedy is all about, light and shade...in Mom, the shade takes you to some of the darkest places imaginable...and, watching the series as it has evolved, the shift-in-focus and character arcs are testament to all the talents behind the cameras.

Allison Janney steals the show...from the beginning, as ex-boozing, sometime bisexual Bonnie. And then after season 3, it really does become her show...her [recent] Oscar-winning success could be the un-making of Mom - we will wait, finger-crossed, for seasons 7, 8, 9...
