CGiii Comment

Elaine came out aged 79 (because of The L-Word!!!)...she led a life of duty and marriage.

Walter came out in church and met Bill - in later years - because both were Christian quilters...

Ken came out at 72...married for 47 years...who met a 'body worker' - unbelievable!

Cathy came out at 57...unknowingly, married a gay man...and lived in Phelps infected Kansas.

And then, there's LeAnna - transgendered at 60, after a life in the Navy.

What do all these stories have in common...they are all white, working/middle-class and ridiculed by religion.

As a documentary, there is too much unnecessary footage and not enough depth...Out Late simply skims the surface, ignoring relevant social history and accompanied by a hideous soundtrack.

A distinctly amateur endeavour.

The(ir) Blurb...

This feature film looks at five individuals who made a decisive change later in life-to come out as lesbian, gay, or trans gender, after the age of 55. Why did they wait until their 50's, 60's, or 70's to come out? And what was the turning point that caused each of these people finally to openly declare their sexuality? From Canada to Florida, to Kansas, we find out what ultimately led these dynamic individuals to make the liberating choice to pursue fully integrated lives.
