The mystery of Branagh's directorial success is even more perplexing after seeing this...he is not the greatest actor nor is he a very good director.
This is mildly amusing fare from the fraternity of Oxford glitterati.
Considering when it was made, it tries to pack a powerful punch at the end.
The writers are at fault here - the punch turns out to be more of a condescending slap...that reeks of trite sentimentality.

Seven friends in an acting troupe graduate from Cambridge University in 1982 and go their separate ways.
