CGiii Comment

Oh dear...

The story is a little difficult to swallow...Chicago-dwelling Jane's parents are getting a divorce...so, they shunt her off to live with her alcoholic, estranged gay uncle...in the middle of [homophobic] nowhere.

Mr Lerchen, you should have just killed them off...the mother is a hideous caricature who is unnecessary to the story...her final scene, a big mistake.

Look...this is a first feature venture...mistakes are rife.

Stilted dialogue will always produce stilted performances...even from the most seasoned professional. The acting - here - is distinctly small-town am-melo-dram...the endless words don't help.

Young adults do not say these things!

It's predictable...and, the sentimentality - at the end - will have you spewing your guts out.
