Kids do feel. Kids do cry. Kids do hurt... just like us.

Life, an androgynous child, arrives at a demolishing standalone cinema with their mother, Martha, seeking temporary refuge in the shelter of its fading grandeur. Amid reels of dust and shadowed corners, Life meets Gab, the projectionist's son-a boy their age. The two quickly grow close, spending long afternoons watching pirated films. In the quiet presence of Marco, the projectionist, who stirs something unfamiliar in Life, questions about love begin to take root. One day, Gab confesses his feelings with a kiss. But Life cannot return the affection. That night, they go home slipping into Martha's white dress. Life readies themselves to confess their feelings to Marco. But in the dim hallway, Life freezes-Marco and Martha are together. A moment of love, unfolding without them. The next morning, as Martha prepares Life for school, she takes a pair of scissors and begins to cut their hair. Tears spill freely down Life's cheeks. Martha stops, startled by the depth of their sorrow, and pulls them into an embrace. The cinema is closing. Blind singers gather by the gate. Children run, laughing, through the dust. And as the final reel plays, Life steps out into the crowd and disappears into the sea of people.
