Female impersonator icon in Rio de Janeiro's gay scene, Lorna Washington is known for his versatility, elegance and controversial opinions. He made history in legendary nightclubs in the 1980's and 90's such as Papagaio, Sótão and the heydays of Le Boy and 1140. He has performed in several night stages, from New York to Hawaii. His militancy in the fight for LGBT rights and HIV awareness also led him to be honored at the City Council of Rio de Janeiro. When the spotlight is off, the cameras reveal a peculiar routine. Lorna lives in a housing project in Engenho da Rainha, suburbs of Rio, takes public transportation to work in the saunas circuit and deals with health issues that led him to leave the heels, but never the hump and style. Follow how Lorna's unique story is intertwined with the beginning of the gay conscience, the art of female impersonators and the emergence of AIDS.
