Also known as: There and back again...they go, they come back...that's it...
The story was written on a tissue left out in the rain - it dissolves and disintegrates before your very eyes.
If you - like us - expected a re-make of Mad Max...think again. There is a character called Max - more angry than mad - and it is set in a post-apocalyptic Australia with a few barmy vehicles...and, unlike the originals, not a whiff of camp.
Instead, it's an unrelenting 2 hour car chase...well, in truth it's a 1 hour car chase repeated...
Dialogue is kept to a minimum and usually grunted.
The SFX range from the impressive to the ridiculously amateur. The inclusion of the flame-throwing guitar player - daft and dated...just like the director....but hey, it's his baby - and armed with $150,000,000, he can do with it what he wants...he's laughing along with his bank manager!
The road movie rasion d'etre...has been crucified.

Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos.
