The Emperor has a whole new wardrobe of clothes...and, Quentin Tarantino is wearing them proudly!
This is Hollywood at its delusional worst...babies, this is a 'critics' film, they have lavished this 'vanity project' with a massive amount of [bamboozling] praise...when, in truth, this is [merely] a monumentally monotonous piece of plodding plagiarism...bedecked with the biggest names in Tinsel Town.
Mr Tarantino has called this is magnum opus...more like opuscule! It managed to scoop an award at Cannes...for best performance by a dog. And, it won a best trailer award...which it deserved, because very little happens in the film up until the last few ultra-violent minutes...so, babies, save yourself precious time and watch the trailer instead.
Seemingly, it's loaded with homoeroticism and subtext...where? Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt are parasitical chums...read what you will into their relationship...but, it will take an inventive imagination to conjure up any concrete subtext. As for the homoeroticism...well, Mr Pitt taking off his shirt is about as erotic as it gets!
Look...the film cost a modest $90,000,000 and has accrued over $370,000,000 at the Box Office, an eye-watering amount...so, yes, the Emperor definitely has a new wardrobe of clothes...he can certainly afford them!
So...who's laughing at who!?! One thing is for sure, you won't be laughing at this supposed dramedy!
