Since 2008, Sink the Pink has been redefining East London’s club scene with its loose attitudes towards gender, sexuality and ultimately, life. Founded by Amy Zing and Glynfamous, the now infamous club nights are known for their free-for-all dress codes and loyal following. SHOWstudio has been a long supporter of Sink the Pink, with Nick Knight championing the eclectic club kids for an AnOther Man shoot back in 2013. Managing to transform a simple night out into a significant cultural happening, the STP duo continue to unite people everywhere, ensuring no member of the crowd is left out.

In the summer of 2014, a film crew, led by Ponystep founder Richard Mortimer and director Sophie MacCorquodale, followed the antics of the STP gang in the weeks leading up to their biggest ever event, tracking them from rehearsal to the Summer Ball stage. Spotlighting an inclusive cast with intriguing names, Mortimer and MacCorquodale manage to capture a true celebration of club night hedonism. Jonbenet Blonde, Lucy Fizz, Oozing Gloop, Lewis Burton and Jacqui Potato star in the resulting documentary, Paint It Pink, and offer an insight into their childhoods, struggles, dreams and approaches to drag, sexuality and gender. As moving as it is hilarious, this one-of-a-kind film reflects Sink the Pink's freeing diversity.
