CGiii Comment

Award-winning glamor photographer ScottChurch has been capturing beauty for over twenty years. Published by the likes of Maxim and Playboy, he has made a successful career photographing some of the world's most beautiful women.

Combining a unique style and daring approach to the craft, he has earned consistent praise and a legion of devoted fans from around the world. But when he decides to replace his trademark subject matter for a photography study on drag performers, eyebrows are raised almost instantly. Setting out to prove that these artists and performers are among us everyday, Church executes a series of colorful photographs which take the entertainers out of their traditional club environment and places them into real life situations. From grocery stores to gas stations, the outrageous experiment becomes a quick lesson in the gender bending art form for his unsuspecting Pennsylvania hometown.

Through candid interviews along the way, the performers themselves speak up about their life in drag and how the taboo format is not only harmless entertainment but an important form of self expression. Pictures are worth a thousand words but the stories behind them are worth even more.
