Splendori e miserie di Madame Royale

Alessio (Ugo Tognazzi), a former dancer who perform as Madame Royal in private parties

He has abandoned the world of entertainment to take care of Mimmina, the daughter of an old lover. Mimmina repeatedly gets in trouble and is arrested after an illegal abortion.

Alessio is targeted by the police commissioner who arrested Mimmina and, with the promise to avoid Mimmina’s criminal conviction, will accept to be an informant for the police.

Thanks to his reports, the police are able to discover some drug traffickers and picture-makers. But the rumors of his confidences to the ambiguous commissioner, from whom Alessio is attracted, turn quickly and the man is abandoned by all his friends.

Alone and without protection, he will be killed by the criminals he has denounced.
