CGiii Comment

There have been so many films made about the original feminist that to find one that actually tells the truth is a rarity.

Seemingly, this is one of the most accurate - and never has a more boring story been told.

The direction is astonishingly bad - practically every scene is the same...empty screen, camera pans, characters walk into view...cut all the unnecessaries and this film would have been 20 minutes long.

As for Joan...there is no explanation as to why she enchanted millions...dressed as a boy she still looks like a girl...her line delivery is as wooden as her posture.

But...bearing in mind that this is called 'The Battles' - these so-called battles look as if the local historical society donned the garb and mucked around for a few minutes.

It's worse than bad...and, only 2 more hours to go...

The(ir) Blurb...

A part of Joan of Arc's life. At the beginning, Jeanne (Joan) has already left Domremy, she is trying to convince a captain to escort her to the Dauphin. It ends during Jeanne's first battle, at Orleans. Meanwhile, Jeanne is depicted more as a warrior than a saint (all cliches are avoided), with only her faith for strength.
