Mujer de los Perros (La)

A woman lives on the fringes of society in a hut that she built in the open countryside, just a few kilometres from Buenos Aires. Surrounded by her dogs, she immerses herself nature and does the bare minimum to survive day by day. She has no money, she rarely speaks, but she looks she looks at the world around her with a kind of astonishment. Seasons, the alternation of day and night and the different versions of the sky seem to cradle her thoughts. Played by co-director Verónica Llinás, La mujer de los perros is a study at once quiet and haunting, the portrait of a nameless woman, a distant cousin of Agnès Varda's enigmatic protagonist in Vagabond.
