CGiii Comment
The writing received an Oscar nomination...Hepburn & Tracy struggle to make this anything more than trivial.
Hepburn is just too old for this battle-of-the-sexes.
There are those that will scream that this is loaded with subtext - let them scream, it won't make any difference to this lacklustre Hollywood mechanical annoyance.
And, stop going on about their bloody chemistry - dated and redundant.

The(ir) Blurb...
Pat's a brilliant athlete, except when her domineering fiance is around. The lady's golf championship is in her reach until she gets flustered by his presence at the final holes. He wants them to get married and forget the whole thing, but she can't give up on herself that easily. She enlists the help of Mike, a slightly shady sports promoter. Together they face mobsters, a jealous boxer, and a growing mutual attraction.
