Smiley Face

Country: USA, Language: English, 88 mins

  • Director: Gregg Araki
  • Writer: Dylan Haggerty
  • Producer: Gregg Araki; Thomas Becker

CGiii Comment

8 years after the vile Splendor – Araki presents this drivel to the world.

Admittedly, Farris does a fine job with what can only be described as a monotonously repetitive script.

This film will appeal only to those who:
(1) like to get stoned in a squeaky clean environment,
(2) have a plethora of pus-filled mini-volcanoes all over their face and body and,
(3) play with their private parts – furiously.

It’s difficult to take Araki seriously – correction, it’s just difficult to take Araki.
