CGiii Comment

Through a series of video diary entries and interviews, this moving documentary chronicles the journey of Dr. Peter Jepson-Young, known simply as "Dr. Peter." This man of extraordinary courage made public his personal fight against AIDS, to become one of Canada's foremost educators in this field.

With disarming candor and humour, Dr. Peter discusses the many issues surrounding his life and illness, including his relationship with his family, his sexuality and his spirituality.

Dr. Peter died in 1992, having contributed more than 2 years and 100 diaries to the cause of AIDS education. "The Broadcast Tapes of Dr. Peter" is not only the anatomy of a deadly virus, but the story of a courageous young man who refused to let it rob him of life.
