So...Fincher takes a perfectly good Swedish film and does absolutely nothing with it.
No improvements - even with the huge budget.
If anything, the pace is more sluggish, the characterisations more plastic, the soundtrack is painful...and, the lesbian storyline has almost evaporated...
For what purpose was the re-make made?
Solely for the benefit of those who can't be bothered to read a subtitle.

This English-language adaptation of the Swedish novel by Stieg Larsson follows a disgraced journalist, Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig), as he investigates the disappearance of a wealthy patriarch's niece from 40 years ago.
