A daughter has dropped everything in her life to caretake for her estranged stroke-ridden mother. Their mundane routine is shaken up by the arrival of Mom's boyfriend, Billy. Daughter must endure their strange affection for one another as she continues to be the sole provider for Mom's recovery. When Daughter has her girlfriend Jo over, Mom draws a line in the sand, leaving Daughter no choice but to bow to her unreasonable expectations. At the peak of their emotional showdown a knock comes from the door. A Loan Shark has arrived and is demanding payment on Mom's outstanding debt. With Billy nowhere in sight, Mom and Daughter must hang on to whatever relationship they have left to survive.
