Finally, it’s worth mentioning two events organized by 21st Giornate degli Autori: on September 2nd, Censure di genere, di mercato, di cultura (Gender, Market, Culture Censorships), a multi-voiced panel on what stops or hampers the creative freedom of authors who are outside the norm because they are women or LGBTQ people; and on September 5th, Non chiamateli giovani (Side By Side: Don’t Call Us Young), a dialogue on the generation of filmmakers under 35 who are entering the “Cinema system”, with the premiere of Giulio Donato’s debut feature film Labirinti (Italy, 77′).
