CGiii Comment

Pop culture and protest. With this motto the band Hatari was founded to abolish capitalism. In Iceland they were the band of the hour in 2019 and as such were allowed to represent their country in the Eurovision Song Contest.

The film accompanies the artists in the attempt to find their own message during an apolitical event without being absorbed by various interest groups.

Despite all the closeness to the band, the film remains at a critical distance and does not simplify anything. Whether it is an act of political conviction or professional self-marketing, a legitimate protest or a scandal for popularity? The audience has to answer these questions themselves.
