CGiii Comment

It's grimy rather than gritty.

As with Savage Nights, there is a disturbing honesty - it is less brutal in the mind-fuck department but this is less palatable, there are no suave good looks, no fashion shoots, no ego...only a veracity that is torturous and frustratingly moving.

There is a sly humour that delivers a slight respite - but the acting, direction and writing sends out continuous punches that drives this film at a perfect pace.

It is compelling, it is personal and it is a showcase for Berneri's talents - which are vast.

A fine, important film. WELL DONE.
