Gossiper

In a close-knit Ilokano neighborhood, Juan invites his friends to help him perform a harana — a traditional courting serenade — outside a neighbor's house. But when a passing vendor overhears the plan and gossips to a female customer, rumors spread fast. By evening, everyone believes Juan is serenading Em-em, the young woman of the house. When Juan finally arrives, Em-em eagerly prepares for her romantic moment — only to discover that Juan's song is meant for her older brother, Junior, in a playful twist on tradition. As the neighborhood spins its own version of the story, Tsismosa (Gossiper) becomes a lighthearted reflection on how love, humor, and hearsay travel through small communities.
