Set in 1982, two long time best friends, Kora and Gina co-own a consignment shop in Oakland, Ca. Gina just got engaged to her boyfriend Darrel and the news has shaken Kora. Secretly, Kora has been in love with Gina since they were kids and has yet to reach self-acceptance around her sexuality. Desperate to cope with the recent engagement news, Kora finds self-help conversion therapy tapes in an attempt to rid herself of her feelings. Though, through the guided meditative exercises led by Dr.Keller, Kora becomes engulfed by her desires and is pushed more towards her reality the more she attempts to fight it. Kora finds herself on an inescapable journey to acceptance.
